Don’t Panic I’m Hispanic wasn’t created as a reaction, and it wasn’t meant to provoke.
It emerged as a simple phrase that carried more meaning the longer it existed.
It framed Latino presence as normal, established, and at home.
People recognized themselves in it. Some laughed. Some paused.
Both responses mattered.
It worked because it came from being proud of being Latino, plainly and without explanation.
Latino presence is not new, not temporary, and isn’t something to fear.
As conversations shift and noise grows louder, the meaning stays clear.
Don’t Panic I’m Hispanic isn’t a slogan.
It’s a statement of presence.
